How do I install Hirewall?
Install Hirewall from the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. Once installed, create a free account at hirewall.app/login to start scanning your emails.
Which email providers are supported?
Hirewall currently supports Gmail (mail.google.com), Outlook (outlook.live.com, outlook.office.com), and LinkedIn messaging. We are working on adding support for more platforms.
How many scans do I get for free?
Free accounts get 5 AI-powered email scans per week. Upgrade to Pro ($5/mo) for unlimited auto-scanning or Shield ($10/mo) for unlimited everything including attachment scanning.
Can I scan email attachments?
Yes! Pro users get 10 attachment scans per month, and Shield users get unlimited attachment scans. We support PDF, Word documents, images, and more.
How do I manage my subscription?
Go to your Dashboard and click "Manage Subscription" to access the billing portal. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time.
Is my email data private?
Absolutely. Email analysis happens locally in your browser first. We never store or transmit the full content of your emails. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
How accurate is the scam detection?
Hirewall uses a three-layer detection system: local pattern matching against 863K+ known scam domains, ML-based classification, and Claude AI analysis for complex cases. The AI Judge can override local results when it detects false positives or new threats.
I found a false positive or false negative. What should I do?
Use the feedback buttons in the scan results to mark emails as "Safe" or "Scam". This helps improve detection for everyone. For persistent issues, use the form above and select the appropriate detection accuracy category.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your Dashboard, scroll to the Account section, and click "Delete Account". This will permanently remove all your data from our servers.
